‘I‘iwi
Hawaiiâs most well-known honeycreeper is adapted to feed on the long, curved Hawaiian Lobelia blossom (shown), but scarcity of the flower has many âIâiwi switching to the âOhiâa blossom. âIâiwi are threatened on several islands but still thrive on the Big Island at higher elevations.
