Mark Martel

An introduced species, bright yellow saffron finches have widely populated Hawai‘i Island, especially in grassy low-lying areas along the coasts and in lawns. These tiny birds flock together creating a show of yellow color and a trilling song. Saffron finches are almost always seen in pairs.
