Parrot Fish
Parrotfish, or uhu, are common Hawaiâi reef fish that feed on algae, nibbling on the underlying coral and rock, producing sand. A single parrotfish can produce a ton of sand per year. Parrotfish start life as red/gray females, later changing to males with vivid green, blue, pink and yellow colors.
